It was held out at Murrindindi and covered some of the Toolangi and Black Range State forests. The event went for 6 hours, and consisted of teams finding waypoints and answering a series of questions along with some trivia. There were only 6 competing teams as this was sort of a trial event for me to see what was needed to run this type of thing. We are planning to hold more of these styles of event in the future, most likely with varying degrees of navigation and 4wding. So keep an eye out on the website and associated 4wd forums for details and dates etc. Here are the results for the Murrindindi GeoNav. Congratulations to all, and thankyou for participating. RESULTS 1st - Team Out For Fun. (GU patrol) 219/219 points. 2nd - Team Cant Drive Cant Navigate (CDCN) (Defender) 204/219 points 3rd - Team Cock and Balls (SWB pajero) 185/219 points (10 point late penalty) 4th - Team Andrew is Gay (Suzuki sierra) 175/219 points. 5th - Team Mad Dogs (GQ Patrol) 100/219 points. (special mention to these guys, as they didnt have a GPS, but still plotted the co-ordinates onto the map, gave it a good crack and did well.) Also thankyou to our sponsor for this event, FERRET TYRE DEFLATORS for providing one of their great aussie made deflators as a prize for first place.
